Managing Director

Ted’s background includes a career of hands-on experience in developing business ventures and alliances. He was on the management team of a start-up company grown to $80 million revenue and a successful Initial Public Offering (IPO) of stock in only two years.

He went on to manage a dozen different assignments within Bank of America as an entrepreneurial manager. While at the bank he was responsible for starting-up or turning around a variety of high profile business operating units, managing thousands of employees, including domestic and international activities and clients, and overseeing multi-billions in assets. Ted was recognized by management with a one-year Brookings Institution Congressional Fellowship, and other bank and industry awards.

After his Bank of America career, Ted became an active, full-time, private investor in a dozen different technology companies in 1992. As part of his extensive advisory role to the companies, he created many successful, growth-focused strategic partnerships on their behalf. Those creative and collaborative experiences were so enjoyable he founded Alliance Ventures in 1995.

He has also co-founded several nonprofit business organizations, including the multimedia industry trade association. He has lectured regularly at many government, university, and industry conferences nationally to thousands of executives, ranging from the INC magazine Annual Growth Conference for CEO’s of fast growth companies, to the annual SAE conference for automobile industry manufacturers “Suppliers as Partners”, and a variety of high technology, manufacturing, investment, corporate partnering, and specialized audiences. Ted has authored popular books on alliance building, and has been quoted in business media.

Additionally, Ted has been an advisor or board member to a variety of community organizations. He is currently on the board of trustees for two, unrelated, non-profit, charitable foundations with assets exceeding $200 million.
